When is CUSAT CAT 2023 exam scheduled?

Ans.

The CUSAT CAT 2023 exam is a Computer Based Test and will be conducted on 29th April, 30th April & 1st May 2023. Please also refer the prospectus and time table published in the web site https://admissions.cusat.ac.in for details and for any notifications in future.

Q.

I have confirmed my CAT 2023 Registration. Can I add/delete courses selected by me.

Ans.

Editing provision will be available only once. Which is after completing your registration upto the closing date of registration. For any assistance, send an email from your registered email_id to the help-desk email admissions[at]cusat.ac.in.

Q.

Can I edit/update my personal details after submitting my application for Admission 2023?

Ans.

You will get editing permission for correcting the details only once, except Name, EmailID , Mobile Number, Nationality & Test Centre. For any assistance, send email from your registered email id to the help-desk email admissions[at]cusat.ac.in.

Q.

How many times can I edit the application details after submitting my application for Admission 2023?

Ans.

You can edit the details only once from your profile. No editing permission for Name, EmailID , Mobile Number, Nationality & Test Centre. No more editing requests will be permitted after closing the registration under any circumstances..

I am the child of an Indian worker in Gulf Country? Am I eligible for any reservation such as CGW (Children of Indian Workers in the Gulf Countries)?

Is there any refund for a wrong application submitted by me?

Ans.

No. Refund of application fee is not allowed under any circumstances.

Whether it is possible to get the activation link again , in case not received ?

Ans.

Yes. Send a request to admissions[at]cusat.ac.in

Q.

How many days it will take to confirm the application ?

Ans.

It will take 3 to 10 working days . University will verify and approve your application if the application is complete , otherwise the details of correction required in the application will be sent to the registered email id. Confirmation page can be downloaded from the candidate profile after application approval.

Am I eligible for KERALITE status?

Ans.

Is it mandatory for candidates sponsored by Kerala Police Academy (KEPA) to appear for CAT 2023 for admission to MSc in Computer Science with specialization in Data Science and MSc Forensic Science?

Ans.

Yes. Such sponsored candidates should register invariably for CAT 2023 and should obtain a valid rank for the same.

When will the refund of duplicate payment of application fee will be processed?

Ans.

All requests for duplicate payment refund will be processed after closing the application registration

Q.

I wish to apply for MBA / MTech. Shall I register for CAT 2023?

Ans.

You should register for CAT 2023 through the website eventhough you are not required to attend the CAT 2023 exam

Q.

What are the procedures for getting fee concession/e-grantz ?

Ans.

After getting admission, you need to contact your admitted Department/School for the fee concession/e-grantz details.

Q.

Is "The Right to Persons with Disabilities Act,2016" is implemented in CUSAT ?

Ans.

Yes, Vide University order No. AC.A3/Misc/2014 PF(3) Dated 31.05.2018, The Right to Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 is implemented in CUSAT. Candidates applying for Common Admission Test (CAT 2023) who wish to claim special reservation under Differently Abled Candidates/Persons with Disability/Physically Handicapped category as listed in the above act may please choose Differently Abled Candidate or Blind as the case may be, while filling up online application for CAT 2023 under the section "Special Reservations".

Q.

Is there any difference between PWD (Person With Disability ) and DAC (Differently Abled Candidates ) given in the Prospectus and online registration form for admission to academic programmes of CUSAT ?

Ans.

There is no difference between PWD (Person With Disability ) and DAC (Differently Abled Candidates ) as far as CUSAT CAT admission portal is concerned. The words PWD and DAC is used intermittingly in Academic Prospectus 2023 and Online registration portal without any difference in meaning.

Q.

Do students who wish to get admission only for BTech Marine Engineering need to apply for CAT2023 ?

Ans.

Yes, students who wish to get admission for BTech Marine Engineering at KMSME in CUSAT, should register for CAT2023, eventhough the admission will be based on the rank scored in Common Entrance Test conducted by Indian Maritime University.

Q.

Whether Other than Indian having OCI card can apply for CAT2023 ?

Ans.

Yes, Other than Indian OCI card holders can apply for CAT 2023 for courses having NRI seat reservation. They need to pay an additional amount of Rs.5000/- along with application fee.
